Wait so you just leave the country with your kids….I really want to do this but I have no idea how this family made it happen? With what budget? And visas? And permission from the kids school of origin. Like…how?! And how do they earn money overseas?

Can you recommend a book or place to start? Thanks.

Fabulous! I immediately googled world schooling last night as the term was new to me. I found info and books. But I will check out her substack as well.

Also reading how your family quit the family business….thats exactly the same boat we are in. We really appreciate the work, but it keeps us in the US which is psychologically abusive and scary at times. I want better for my children. So I appreciate knowing others have managed to make their lives work overseas. Thank you!

Great! So happy to have introduced the concept to you — it is totally do-able! If helpful, here’s the post I wrote about my family’s decision to move overseas. ☺️

Hi Dana, Yes! World schooling is a thing. Marie's blog her on Substack is one place to start. (And I think there're a bunch of FB groups too.)

I believe in Marie's case, her husband has a remote job that supports them, while she legally "home schools" her kids. Ask her!

When I went overseas with my parents they basically quit our family business and lived off savings for a year, then they got new jobs and went back to work. Admittedly, my schooling was a little spotty (but this was a long time ago!)
