Caring for the Cats of Gili Islands
Nomad Life 💕 Local Donation
Gili Island is full of cats. Pretty healthy and well-behaved, I might add. Most likely because they’re being taken care of.
Luni Lombok is a local Gili Island nonprofit organization that works with the cat population of the Gili Islands. It is dedicated to helping unwanted, neglected, and ill-treated animals, like Gili’s stray cats.
Specifically, the Luni Lombok team:
Organizes spay, neuter, and vaccine pop-up clinics
Feeds up to 500-700 stray cats every day
Runs the only veterinary clinic on the Gili Islands
Provides free veterinary care for stray animals
Nomad Life 💕 Local Donation
As part of our new Nomad Life local donation program, I gave $60—$52 to fund the spaying/neutering of two cats. 😻😻 The additional $8 was gifted to GiveAsia to support their donation system.
Happy to give a little something to care for these cute critters and contribute to the Gili community, which was so welcoming to me.
