Helen and I discovered our mutual love of hiking while in the Pirin Mountains of eastern Bulgaria a few years back. I was hiking up from the bottom, she was descending from the summit and we found ourselves at a lunch spot in the middle.

What are the benefits of traveling solo?
I enjoy traveling solo because it gives you the flexibility to go where you want without having to plan around others. You naturally meet new people and friends along the way, so you never truly feel alone on the road.
When I solo travel, I stay in hostels, surf houses, and co-living spaces because they often offer planned social events and activities, which is a great way to connect with other travelers.
What are the benefits of traveling as a couple?
The benefits of traveling as a couple are being able to share your experiences with someone and split travel planning duties. It can sometimes be overwhelming to plan transportation, things to do, eat, and see.
Traveling with a partner, you can work as a team to figure out fun and epic things to do together, which is a great bonding activity. 🦋
