Can you explain how you have 3 degrees in political science? Are the 3 different focuses? Just curious.
There's a group on Facebook called SSW, Sailing Safety for Women, who provides a place for women crew members to come and vet out skippers and learn about how to be safe while crewing. Hard for me to give that up, as a whole chapter in my book is about being safe as a woman crew member. I'm not aware of other avenues for some of these Facebook groups. I am in Ex-Mormon groups, Sailing groups, Crewing groups, I have 4 business accounts on FB although none of them are making any money. But that's because I'm horrible at making money on Facebook, most likely. There are a lot of my community people on these FB groups, more so than my actual page even.

I have a BA in International Relations with a minor in Asian Studies, a Masters of Philosophy in Government & Public Administration with a focus on political systems, and a MA in Political Science. (The MA was supposed to be a PhD but my M.Phil was from an international university and the college wouldn't recognize the degree, so I opted out of the program at 2 years with a second Masters.)
Yes, some of the FB groups are great! Like I said, I'm finding it hard to give up the one.
Also, I should have done a better job of framing this stance as a personal choice, not one I'm necessarily advocating for others. Lessening my dependence on these 3 oligarchs is just one way I'm trying to live according to my values, not the whole picture.
We stopped using Amazon and focusing on buying on local shops. It's a lot easier here to do so in AUS.
