2 Questions
1) Youâre a nomad who loves to hike. Do you plan your travels around hiking, or do you suss out trails wherever you are?
We do plan our long multi-day hikes in advance, such as the Camino (weâve done 4 on 3 continents!), Fishermanâs Trail, and the Via Transylvanica. As for our day hikes, we just grab them as we see them. Being moderate hikers with limited gear, we make sure the trails we pick can accommodate our sparse supplies.
2) How does being a vegetarian (vegan?) impact your traveling life? Do you ever feel like youâre missing out on cultural experiences since you can always eat the food?
We eat vegan when weâre in control of our food, like in accommodations that have kitchens. Otherwise, we eat vegetarian, which is super easy to come by. I never feel left out by my food choices; thereâs so much abundance and choice, I donât need to eat animals to find local cultural flavors.
