Sue and I met while traveling around Cuba. We both work in the nonprofit space and bonded over our love of animals, especially animals in need of rescue.
Sue is lucky enough to have a boss that encourages her to live the life she needs— whether in the US or Mexico or anywhere in the world. She works for Serving Seniors, which helps seniors in poverty live healthy and fulfilling lives.

2 Questions
1) Why do you live in one country and work in another? My partner decided to move back to Mexico and I decided to join him. I wanted to be close enough to cross for work and to see my 94-year-old mom. We moved in 2020, just before the pandemic. During the lockdown, I worked remote and continue to work a hybrid schedule.
2) Any safety considerations for a cross-border commute? Whenever I go into the US, I am reminded that I am crossing a border. I have to be aware of how I look and act and the answers I give as I drive across the border. I keep my passport and global entry card on me at all times. A very strange phenomenon.
Have you ever considered living in one country and working in another? What would you enjoy most about dual-country living? What would stop you?
