I also reported the incident to Dubai Airport, which said they are not responsible and I need to contact the airline. I now have a claim with Emirates Airlines, the parent company of FlyDubai. I'm waiting to hear back.
That's awfully stressful and highly irresponsible, too, to let a mentally unstable person fly without proper medication or a security guard. You are all lucky nothing serious happened. I hope you get your money back.
That being said, I do feel sorry for that poor guy and his mother. The whole situation sounds tragicomic. Especially that part with him running on the runway. WTF š¤¦š»āā He could have been hurt or killed.

More importantly, it was a truly dangerous situation. He was so clearly out of control.
